Phase II of program "Pressurized Enclosure - Test Round 2017" starts now

Dear participants,

We are pleased to inform you that Phase II of program "Pressurized Enclosure - Test Round 2017" starts now.

Please notice that we published a revised Procedure Instruction (Document-ID: PI-PE2017-A5) for program "Pressurized Enclosure - Test Round 2017" which replaces the previous version (Document-ID: PI-PE2017-A4). Regarding the changes in the procedure instruction, the document “Test Record PE” and “Test Setup PE” were also adapted where necessary. Please use the updated documents for Phase II.

Since the program “Pressurized Enclosure – Test Round 2017” was the first proficiency testing program in the field of pressurized enclosures and dilution measurements according to IEC 60079-2, we have received lots of questions regarding the procedure and the equipment from the participants. Furthermore, the ongoing discussion within the internal group of PTB experts and with the participants during Phase I showed certain weaknesses of the procedure and potential for improvement. That is why Phase I serves as a pilot/validity phase and it was decided that all participants shall repeat the test for Phase II with some modifications of the test sample as well as the documentation. These modifications support the program understanding and increase comparability. The modifications are described in this updated procedure instruction.

You will find the documents on our website (http://www.ex-proficiency-testing.ptb.de) under section:
Programs --> Program " Pressurized Enclosure " (Test Round 2017) --> Download

The deadline for Phase II for repeating the tests and uploading the new results is the 14th of December 2018.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may caused and we say thank you for your fruitful cooperation.

Kind regards
Your Ex Proficiency Testing Team
